Green Mark for Interiors (GMI) applies to non-residential interior spaces that are fully completed and in operation. It assesses the environmental performance of interior fit-out works within a clearly defined tenancy scope.

GMI certification is awarded upon successful assessment and is valid for five (5) years, provided no major renovation or alteration occurs during the certification period.

    Best Practices in

    Interior Fit-Out Sustainability

Singapore organisations apply for Green Mark for Interiors (GMI) certification to formally verify the sustainability performance of completed interior fit-out projects.

The GMI framework evaluates key areas including lighting energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and responsible resource use within interior spaces. Certification under GMI reflects an organisation’s commitment to sustainable interior design and alignment with Singapore’s Green Mark standards.
